Gaia and Deon Parsons - August 16, 2008

Anytime a client hires me or anyone of us at Muah, we take it as a compliment that someone has trusted us to cater their beauty services. Especially for wedding, this is a huge compliment as the Brides make-up and hair is extremely important and is probably one of their most important dates to remember.

I had the privileged to do an amazing bridal party. Everyone was so sweet and kind . The entire bridal party was very accommodating to our requests to ensure that everything went smoothly.

Gaia - the bride look was actually inspired by Jessica's Simpsons wedding with her loose curls and her hair pinned on both side with some very cute barrettes. She did want a more dramatic make-up than Jessica but overall Gaia looked stunning on her!

She set the trial with me many months in advance and was very pleased with my work and decided to put down a deposit with me to secure her date. We touch based on and off for some hair accessories that she couldn't find. I was able to find some a Panache which was a beautiful match.

I arrived at her home around 9:30 am to be ready for 1:30 pm with a Bridal Party of 5. As usual I started with the other Bridesmaid hair and Brenda started with the make-up. Everyone decided to have a very clean polish look, just emphasizing the eyes. A very popular suggestion among many bridal members. Approx around 11:45 I decided to work on the Gaia with her hair then her make-up.

Here is a good picture of her hair, again very loose and curled. This is all Gaia's hair, no extensions were needed. You can see once she had on her dress the only last thing was to have her veil out in place to just complete this look. You can see little old me in the back just adding one of the last important finishes to this look. She had on a gorgeous low deep v neckline accented with some rhinestone just below the bust line. You

can see in the pictures how it looks as I am not the right person when it comes to describing dress details. One thing I can describe though is her shoes! She had on a pair of light blue stilettos! i thought that was just put the icing to her cake. Very original!

So here it it... her finished make-up look

Hair:
Curled it with a flat iron

Make-up:
Face: Kett Airbrush, Sephora Powder to set for more coverage
Eyebrows: MAC Cork with brow brush
Cheeks: Kett Airbrush with MAC Coppertone and Peachtwist
Lips: MAC Dirvish Liner, Smashbox lipstick pallet ( not too sure pinkish brown) and Elizabeth Arden Gloss
Eyes: Urban Decay Primer Potion, MAC Omega on Entire crease, Shroom on the top half, Goldmine and Bronze on the outer corner. Contour the outer crease with Mulch. I used MAC Nylon for the inner upper and bottom corners and on the brow bone. I used the same colours on the bottom of the eyes and Smashbox Jet Set in Black gel liner on top. Attached false lashes and mascara with L'Oreal Voluminous waterproof.

The makeup is a lot more dramatic than the picture but Gaia said she rather look good in pics than life so we doubled it up. This is something to consider for all you potential brides. Photographic make-up!
